CBN to boost Business Opportunities through NCR

THE Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, says it is opening more business opportunities in Nigeria through the National Collateral Registry, NCR. The bank’s position was made known in Abuja on Monday, November 6, by Isaac Okorafor, acting director, Corporate Communications,  who revealed that soon the NCR would move to the next phase of its mandate of easing business practices in Nigeria. NIGCOMSAT SIGNS BACKUP DEAL WITH BELARUS

Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) has signed a mutual backup services agreement with Berlintersat, at the Belintersat headquarters in Minsk, Belarus. World Bank: Nigeria Wins Youth Competition for Development

Nigeria has once again won the World Bank’s “Ideas for Action” initiative, a youth competition on financing for development. It is a programme which is yearly organised by the World Bank Group, in collaboration with the Zicklin Centre for Business Ethics Research. The Bank’s Senior Vice President, Mr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, announced the results of the 2017 initiative on Wednesday in Washington, during its annual meetings and the International Monetary Fund. The Director Public Affairs (DPA) at the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Mr. Tony Ojobo, recently reiterated the position of the Commission on the tolerance of unregistered SIM Cards by telecom service providers on their networks. Ojobo warns the general public not to buy pre-registered SIM Cards from persons and businesses that had done multiple SIM Cards registration in order to resell later.
