The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced successfully passing the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Re-Certification Audit. The success of the re-certification exercise implies that the NIMC operates an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that protects the data of the citizens in line with the requirements of the ISO 27001:2013. NIMC Extends Diaspora Enrolment to Togo, Niger Republic, Ivory Coast and The Republic of Ireland

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has extended the enrolment of Nigerians living in the Diaspora into the National Identity Database to Togo, Niger Republic, Ivory Coast and the Republic of Ireland. This was announced in statement signed by Abdulhamid Umar, General Manager Operations and Corporate Communications. President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) has approved the renewal of the tenure of Engr. Aliyu A. Aziz the DG/CEO National Identity Management Commission, NIMC for a Second Term.
