Warner and YouTube Renew Licensing Deal to Keep Music Streaming

Warner Music Group extended a licensing deal with YouTube, ensuring the label’s songs remain on the web’s most popular destination for streaming music. The deal includes recording and publishing rights, Variety reported Friday, citing an internal memo from Warner Chief Executive Officer Steve Cooper. Telecoms Operators Loses 1.7million Subscribers in March- NCC

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said that telecommunication operators lost 1,653,286 subscribers in March. The telecommunications industry regulator made this known in its Monthly Subscriber/Operator Data released on Friday in Lagos. It said that the active telecommunications service customers, which was 154,120,484 in February, declined to 152,467,198 in March, 2017. According to the data, 151,999,197 of the 152,467,198 active numbers subscribed to the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) network services. The GSM operators’ active customers decreased by 1,662,350 on the 153,661,547 subscribers recorded in February.
